Local Business Advocates Honor MKACyber CEO

Mischel Kwon launched MKACyber seven years ago, and, from the very beginning, it was crystal clear to us on the inside that she was drawing on her deep pool of elite cybersecurity expertise and building something truly worthwhile. That said, it’s always exciting when her vision and our optimism are endorsed from outside the company.

Mischel Kwon Named Top Cyber Leader

This is precisely what happened when Mischel was named to the “Trending 40: New Power Women of DC Tech” list, which recognized her contributions to the cybersecurity community. The list, created by local business publication DCA Live, honors people that the group views as “making it happen in the DC tech community.”

Mischel was named to the list for her performance as a tech leader and for her contributions to the DC tech community. A committee of experts in the DC business and technology community nominated Mischel along with an impressive list of co-recipients.

As is always the case with our CEO, Mischel acknowledges that her contributions are only part of the reason for receiving the award.

“I’m honored to receive this award, but I really do view it as a reflection of the work of the entire MKACyber team,” Mischel said. “We are growing at breakneck speed while keeping squarely focused on our vision to make security operations centers work. We have important work to do, and it feels great to be recognized in our local community for pushing that work forward.”

Growing at breakneck speed means that there are more opportunities than ever to become part of the MKACyber team. Check out our careers page to see our open opportunities.
